Wine tasting in Girona is one experience you will never be able to forget, even if you tried! Why?
During this wine tasting in Girona experience, we will visit the one and only winery left in Cap de Creus, the Martin Faixó winery. While there are plenty of Girona vineyards and Girona wineries to visit and even more wineries near Girona and vineyards near Girona Spain, this one is special as it is the only winery in Cap de Creus (refer key attractions section for a historical fact), and this experience gives you the chance to taste the only wines produced in the area now.
Following our visit to the winery, once the tasting is over we’ll head down to Cadaqués and start a one-hour guided tour of the town’s streets, which stretch from the sea to the church, which is perched on a hill with a view of the entire town and the lovely bay.
After that, if the weather permits, we will have time for lunch, a free stroll around the village, and a swim. And before we leave for Girona, you will have the perfect opportunity to taste the delicious Taps (Catalan for “cap” or “cork” owing to its shape), which are syrup-coated, sweet, spongy cakes that are typically consumed by dipping them in rum. Cadaqués has been producing these since the 18th century.
After lunch, if we’d like (at an additional cost), we can go to Salvador Dalí’s House-Museum in Portlligat, which is a must-do for anyone and everyone who is a fan of the Spanish artist (painter).
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Cap de Creus, and arrive at the arrive at the easternmost town (quite possibly, the most beautiful) in Catalonia.
